This week we welcome back Bob Rivers, the King of Rock
Parodies. Except for a quick stint as a rock star, Bob has
been a Rock radio veteran for 22 years. But he's best known
for his very funny, high-fidelity Christmas parodies on Atlantic
Records. The gold certified Twisted Christmas in '87, I Am
Santa Claus in '93, More Twisted Christmas in 97 and Chipmonks
Roasting On An Open Fire in 2000. His latest instant classic
is called, White Trash Christmas.

Also this week, we welcome back author-producer Joe Garner,
the most successful multimedia author in publishing. Garner's
passion for broadcasting history has resulted in three New
York Times best-selling books: And The Crowd Goes Wild, And
The Fans Roared, and We Interrupt This Broadcast. His latest
is called Stay Tuned: Television's Unforgettable Moments.
In this book, which comes with 2 DVD's, Garner has compiled
the seminal stories, excerpts and images from entertainment,
news and sports television that captured our imaginations
and left an indelible mark on the cultural, political, and
social landscape. It's awesome!

Action Alert
Allan Handelman Show listeners
making a difference!
The Humane Society Of York County SC needs help. I almost
never ask listeners to contribute to specific organizations
in need. However, I just found out that the York County Humane
Society of York County SC is almost in a crisis situation.
They are a "No Kill" shelter and as a result, they
have over 350 dogs and cats in their care. Since they never
kill the animals, they don't get state funding and have to
survive with donations only. If they can't raise money to
cover mounting bills they will have to close. Contributions
have been down in recent months due to the economy. Please
help out if you can, either with a donation or by giving a
cat or dog a new home. Contact:
The Humane society Of York County
2036 Carolina Place
Fort Mill, SC 29708
Phone: 803-802-0902
eMail: hsyc@comporium.net
Make checks out to: "Humane Society Of York County".
Double your donation for free! The Humane Society is eligible
for matching contributions from many companies. Check with
your employer.
Thank You.
