It's OPEN PHONES, the "Rock Culture Speaks Out" on some of the scary things going on in government that could take away our civil liberties. Allan welcomes back George Getz, Communications Director of The Libertarian Party to address these and other issues threatening our personal freedoms. Very Hot!

Also this week, it's another intense game of "name that band", or as we call it, WHO ARE THESE GUYS? We play a hard-driving Rocker, and you have to be the first to call in and name the band. We have some great prizes, but you'll have to work for them. We are cleaning out the prize cabinet with fantastic prizes for naming the band from the late 60's to the present. "one hit wonders", Psychedelic, Garage, Punk, Progressive, Alternative or whatever you want to call it, it's all ROCK 'N' ROLL!
Also, it's your chance to win the new the new BLACK BOX: The Complete Original BLACK SABBATH, and other great prizes from RHINO RECORDS.
Also, held over from last week, Blackie Lawless joins Allan later in the show.
Why am I here? That question of describing the compelling fascination of hearing a new W.A.S.P.
album likewise serves to define the magnitude of contemplative passion, as narrated
by The Neon God. The first of a two-part conceptual album. For more on "The Neon God" go to: WaspNation.com
No stranger to censorship, Lawless' band W.A.S.P. was one of the prime targets of the Parent's Music Resource Center back in 1984. Headed up by wives of congressmen, notably Tipper Gore and Nancy Thurmond, the mission of the PMRC was to raise awareness of the "questionable" content of such acts as 2 Live Crew, Ozzy Osbourne and, yes, W.A.S.P. When the PMRC showed the album F**k Like A Beast to the press and read the lyrics of the title cut to shocked attendees at the comittee hearings, W.A.S.P. became the poster children of the PMRC. In the feeding frenzy that followed, the now familiar "Parental Advisory" music labels were born. Ironically, the publicity made the band even more famous and propelled sales of the band's albums further.
Listen for these guests in the coming weeks...
